XS Scuba, Inc., in cooperation with Miflex 2 s.r.l, is voluntarily recalling Miflex high pressure hoses that were sold in North Amercia at dive shops from May 2009 through March 2012. Primarily, these hoses were sold as individual replacement gauge hoses, as cascade hoses, and in the following kits: (1) Deluxe Cylinder Equalizer w/ Miflex HP hose (P/N AC366); (2) Miflex Two-Gauge Console (HL300/HL300M); and (3) Miflex Rebreather Kits.
Miflex High Pressure Hoses can be identified by:
- A black nylon outer braiding cover on the hose
- A hose diameter of approximately 1/4″ (6mm)
- Manufacturing stamping on the female fitting “MFX”
There have been reports of some failures of these hoses under certain conditions, resulting in the loss of breathing gas.
