Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving and your first steps to your dream job begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, this program will greatly expand your diving knowledge and hone your in-water skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems. You put this knowledge into action through internships and a series of practical training exercises.
At IDC we believe in getting Divemasters-in-training involved as part of our team. You will learn about professionalism, teaching techniques that apply to Divemasters and have an opportunity to observe and assist a variety of courses with multiple instructors to gain familiarity with the diversity of PADI programs and teaching methods.
Divemaster Crew Pack is required for the course – not included in the cost.
The Divemaster Course has some flexibility; students are responsible for some of their own practical learning. There is a minimum number of internships, but instructors may determine if more are necessary.
