Let’s Dive Whytecliff Park: Vancouver’s Ultimate Marine Sanctuary!

Welcome to Vancouver’s premier shore diving destination! Tucked away at the western tip of West Vancouver right along Highway 99 (just minutes past Horseshoe Bay), Whytecliff Park holds a legendary spot in Canadian history. In 1993, thanks to a passionate, community-led conservation movement, these waters became Canada’s very first saltwater Marine Protected Area (MPA).

By closing the bay completely to all commercial and recreational fishing, this historic "no-take" sanctuary has allowed an incredible ecosystem of over 200 species to bounce back, thrive, and turn the park into an absolute underwater paradise for divers.
