How Our Dives Work (Organized, Not Guided)
Please note that these are organized group dives, not guided underwater tours.
- Buddy System: We will organize the group to buddy up divers based on matching skills, comfort levels, and training.
- Your Responsibility: You and your buddy will plan, navigate, and execute your own dive safely within your certification limits.
Certification Requirements & Dive Plan
- Certification Level: Because of the advanced nature, depths, and travel logistics of this specific trip, you must have an Advanced Open Water certification to participate.
- The Environment: Located near Tuwanek Point Marine Park, this site features a relaxed pebble beach entry that is perfect for a stress-free transition into the water.
- The Objective: A major highlight of diving here is the opportunity to safely circumnavigate Lamb Island, exploring its underwater contours and rock formations.
- Critter Watch: Tuwanek is famous for its rich biodiversity. Keep your eyes sharp for prehistoric-looking wolf eels, massive Giant Pacific Octopuses, and a huge, colorful variety of nudibranchs crawling along the reef!
Venue & Meeting Times
- Meeting Location: Meet directly at the dive shop.
- Meeting Time: Early morning! The exact meeting time will be determined by the ferry schedule and communicated closer to the event date.
