Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) & Modular Customization
The XTX 50 includes Apeks' innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) system, allowing you to swap between a wide exhaust tee (to push bubbles away from camera lenses and mask view) and a compact narrow exhaust tee for a streamlined profile. Both sets of exhaust tees come standard in the box.

First Stage Features (Apeks DST)
- Over-Balanced Diaphragm Design: As depth increases, the medium-pressure gas in the hose increases faster than ambient surrounding pressure, yielding effortless airflow at extreme depths.
- Rotating Turret & Angled Ports: 4 Medium Pressure (MP) ports mounted on a smooth rotating turret plus 2 High Pressure (HP) ports provide ideal hose alignment for single tank, twinset, or sidemount setups.
- Environmental Dry Seal System: Completely isolates the main spring chamber from water, preventing internal freeze-ups in cold Canadian waters while keeping out silt and contaminants.
- 300 Bar DIN Connection: Standard 300 Bar DIN connection engineered for secure, leak-free high-pressure seals.
Second Stage Features
- Pneumatically Balanced Valve: Ensures smooth, consistent, low-effort breathing regardless of tank pressure or depth.
- Progressive 2-Stage Purge Button: Press the edge for a gentle flow (ideal for filling lift bags or clearing water) or press the centre for full purge capacity.
- Breathing Resistance Control & Venturi Switch: Tactile control knob lets you dial in cracking effort, while the soft-touch Venturi lever prevents unwanted surface free-flows.
- Antibacterial Moulded Protection: Moulded second stage components are infused with an additive that actively kills MRSA, E. coli, fungi, mould, and viruses.
- Patented Heat Exchanger: Surrounds the valve mechanism to draw in ambient water warmth and dissipate gas-expansion cooling.
- Comfo-Bite Mouthpiece & Flex Hose: Lightweight braided flex hose combined with the bridge-supported Comfo-Bite mouthpiece virtually eliminates jaw fatigue.
- Reversible Hose Configuration: Can be converted from right-hand to left-hand hose entry by an authorized Apeks service technician.
