A solid delrin spool. I ordered the 100′ for cave diving in Florida (around the corner from the Halcyon factory incidentally) and it works like a spool should. The lack of a huge hole in the middle is much better when wearing gloves to not get jammed in the hole, and I preferred it bare handed over my normal hole spools as well.
My only complaint is that when I measured it out, I got a little under 100′, and it was packed tight. If you want to get 100’+ and have room on the outside of the reel to make clipping off easier, I suggest the 150′.
