Capture stunning wide-angle landscapes, reef panoramas, and split-level (over/under) images with the Ikelite DLM 8-Inch Dome Port v2 (#5516.82). Designed specifically for Ikelite Dry Lock Micro (DLM) mirrorless camera housings, this large 8-inch optical-grade acrylic dome dramatically reduces edge distortion, restores the full field-of-view of wide-angle lenses, and makes split shots easier to compose on the surface.
Key Features & Optical Benefits
- 8-Inch Optical Acrylic Sphere: Large diameter creates a smooth water-line interface for effortless over/under split-shot photography and superior image sharpness.
- DLM Port Mount System: Unique Dry Lock Micro design places the seal outside the port body for reduced risk of water entering the housing during port changes.
- Corner Sharpness Restoration: Corrects for underwater refraction to eliminate corner softness on ultra-wide prime and zoom lenses.
- Removable Shade: Includes an integrated shade that prevents lens flare and protects the acrylic element when setting gear down on boat decks or shorelines.
- Lightweight & Neutral: Significantly lighter than glass equivalents, providing better travel portability and optimal buoyancy in the water column.
