5th dive

The open water diver course is designed to teach a student how to dive in a pool environment and then apply those skills to the ocean. As a result, the ocean dives involve demonstrating skills and a general level of comfort with the open water. Outside of training dives, divers are expected to dive safely but they are not asked to perform staged skills.

For this reason, we have included a free fifth dive with our open water training. This dive is in essence a free equipment rental that can be applied towards any of the diving activities that we have scheduled or to a dive anytime with another certified diver.

The following links are to our scheduled dive trips and fun diving for 2006. We encourage all of our divers to take part in the regularly scheduled diving activities once certified as it is a great opportunity to find dive buddies and to apply what they’ve learned.

Weekly dives. IDC schedules fun dives for the local diving community on a weekly basis, Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and occasionally on Sunday.
Dive Trips. Experience some of the best diving found anywhere in the world... Port Hardy, Barkley Sound, Campbell River and more!
