Visibility and weather conditions at Whyte Cliff Park where stellar on July 11 2009. We had a great group out for a dive around 11 am. The estimated clarity was around 30-40′. Whytecliff Park June 5 2009: High Tide moving to Low Tide 10ft/3m below 20ft/6m.
Porteau Cove June 6 2009: Low slack 5ft/1.5m

Open water dive at Whytecliff park May 23 to 24

It looks like the plankton is starting its bloom for the summer. Visibility in the first 25′ was about 3′-5′ and opened up to 10′-15′ below the thermal-cline at 25′. I was hoping that we were going to have visibility like last weekend. Rumor had it that we had 45′-50′ of visibility in the cut!
